The Oasis Community Center is a drop in resource center on campus that offers daily skill-building workshops, information and referrals, and a structured After-School Program for school aged children and teens. Your search for employment, training, and housing opportunities just got easier with our free computer lab equipped with a high-speed internet connection. Available to teens and students for homework project during after school program or Kids computer lab.
Adult Enrichment Workshops
Receive group and one-on-one instruction in life skills, personal enrichment, goal planning, budgeting, career planning, and much more! Classes are scheduled on a rotating basis so they can be attended in any order. Call 562-388-8080 for details and current schedule.
- Financial Literacy ~ Simple changes can make all the difference! Learn about the benefits of bank accounts versus check cashing programs, planning and following a budget, consumerism, credit card management, and how to check your credit score and improve your financial standing
- Parenting ~ Join other parents in a group setting learning about the influence of the media on your children, how to use effective discipline, nutrition guidelines, and how to support your child at school.
- Career Planning ~ When it comes to finding a job, you can never be too prepared. Get ahead of the competition with sessions in career planning, resume writing, interview skills, and job searching.
After-School Program K-5th graders (Mon–Thurs 3:30pm–5:30pm)
At the Oasis After-School Program, each day we have game/activity time, homework help, and creative projects. Every activity and project is designed to develop and improve upon social skills and behavior management. These include but are not limited to: problem solving, active listening, process orientation, personal responsibility and accountability. Focus, peer relationship development, peer negotiation and conflict management, identity development, self esteem, and respect for one’s self as well as others.

Be B.O.L.D (Becoming, Outstanding, Leaders, and Dreamers) Teen Program 6th-12th graders (Mon–Thurs 3:30pm–5:30pm)
The teen program is structured the same as the afterschool program but with a focus on age appropriate activities and skill development. Call or stop by today to enroll your teen.
