CVC GOES PLATINUM!
We are pleased to report that our Cabrillo Gateway project has achieved the highest LEED for HOMES designation of Platinum, in recognition of its energy efficiency and environmental design. This recognition is the result of a concerted effort by our design team, LEED AP construction manager, green rater, contractor and subcontractors, among others, to deliver an efficient, sustainable and environmentally-sensitive building. Some examples of our buildings features that contributed to this rating are as follows:
- Solar thermal hot water heating system
- Photovoltaic array that produces clean energy to offset common area load
- Cool roof
- High efficiency indoor air filtering (MERV 13 filtration)
- High efficiency irrigation
- Very high efficiency indoor fixtures
- Energy efficiency (exceed Title 24 2008 standard by more than 35%)
- Use of precut framing packages
- 81% of construction waste diverted for recycling
- Environmentally sensitive carpets and natural flooring products
