Lonnie Mayfield, Director of Facilities

Lonnie Mayfield is the Director of Facilities of Century Villages at Cabrillo and is responsible for the design of processes, facility planning, and campus activities. His leadership and guidance for staff on maintenance repairs, upkeep of campus buildings, technology infrastructure, and equipment, consists of the management of all Century Villages at Cabrillo buildings and grounds of the expansive 27-acre campus.

Mr. Mayfield has more than 25 years of combined management experience in facilities, project oversight, and contract services. Lonnie’s proven track record in building improvements and preventative maintenance, tenant design and construction, pre-construction, general contracting, safety, energy conservation, capital/operation budget, and environmental services has provided direct positive organizational infrastructure results, which continues to improve the quality of service that impacts the clients we serve each day.

Prior to joining Century Villages at Cabrillo, Mr. Mayfield oversaw the operations management of three campuses with Stephen S. Wise Temple. Highlighting the project management of over 250 construction remodels renovations and space allocation projects over ten years, which included the completion of a 30-million-dollar new middle school construction project in 2009.

Additionally, Mr. Mayfield worked for AETNA Inc. as the Regional Director of Facilities West Coast Region, overseeing (10) commercial building portfolios, which consisted of over 3 million sq. ft. This included incorporate environmental, and the strategic alignment for service centers essential to the business market. Additionally, Mr. Mayfield served (5) years in the United States Navy in the personnel and damage control departments.

Mr. Mayfield’s genuine passion for facility management prompted him to start a consulting firm which teaches a wide range of facilities management curriculum, communications, management, development, workplace diversity, and facility management solutions. Lonnie has volunteered his services as Treasurer for the Bel Air Community Council, coach for community youth basketball and youth soccer programs. Mr. Mayfield’s authentic belief that investing in people and community provides contributions for a better future for all including the next generation. These strong beliefs continue to mold, cultivate, and motivate Mr. Mayfield to thrive in the delicate care of his family, work, volunteerism, and special projects that he wholeheartedly commits himself to.
