CVC Awarded CSBG Grant through Long Beach Community Action Partnership

In late September, CVC was awarded Community Services Block Grant (“CSBG”) grant funding through Long Beach Community Action Partnership.  This CSBG grant will ensure continuity of community-wide resident services at the Oasis Community Center from October through year end and will build upon the tremendous work of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles and CSULB’s Center for Community Engagement over the past 3+ years.  Specifically, the grant will focus on providing critical employment-related services such as skill development, financial literacy, job preparation, and job placement.   These services will be made available to all CVC residents, including veterans and families.  For more information, please contact Jaylene Westfall at (562) 388-8080 or email her at email hidden; JavaScript is required.
