Bethune Transitional Center Goes Multimedia
CVC applauds CSULB Anthropologist Scott Wilson and the Bethune Transitional Center’s very own Rhonda Haramis for their amazing collaboration that resulted in “Barriers, Solutions and Resources: Educating the Homeless in the Long Beach Unified School District.” This stunning collaborative project is a 35-page comic book style digital book, with video embedded in some of the panels and hyperlinks throughout. The core of the book is a video recording of Haramis’ homeless education seminar that has been broken down into its key components. Those brief videos are then presented side by side with documentation, interviews with formerly homeless people, paperwork procedures, and step-by-step instructions for identifying and helping homeless children in the Long Beach Unified School District. Click here to see the digital book and Congratulations to Scott and Rhonda on their outstanding work!
