Breathmobile Visits CVC Campus
The UCLA Breathmobile, a mobile asthma and allergy clinic that provides free services for residents, made a stop on the CVC campus on Monday, November 29th. The event was a huge success, as 19 residents participated and were attended to by a team of health care professionals, including two doctors (one of which was a pediatrician), a nurse, and an assistant. This team of health care professionals provided diagnoses, treatments, and medication for patients’ asthma or allergies as well as holding a question and answer session. Patients received skin testing, physical exams, medications, and spirometry in addition to instructions regarding the use of medication, metered dose inhalers, peak flow meters, spacing devices, and nebulizer treatments. The Breathmobile is a valuable service for campus residents that is provided completely free of charge. We are hoping to coordinate monthly visits so keep an eye out in our Community Calendar for the Breathmobile’s next visit to CVC campus!
